Pesticide Disposal Challenges As of 1.07.2012, 6,931.4 tones of obsolete, banned and disabled pesticides were educed in Kazakhstan Obsolete disabled pesticides As of 1.07.2012, more than 87 thou of container units for pesticides were accumulated in Kazakhstan, among which more than 71 thou of container units – for pesticides used against specially dangerous and quarantine hazardous organisms. Unfit containerCurrently, there are 4 burial sites: There are about 716 stores for pesticides in Kazakhstan.

Decision of the Committee of Customs Union dated 28.05.2010 No. 299 “Unified List of Commodities Subject to Sanitary-Epidemiological Surveillance (Control) at the Custom Boarder and in the Customs Union Territory”, Section 15 of Chapter 2 “Requirements to Pesticides and Agrochemicals”. Technical Regulation of Kazakhstan “On Requirements to Safety of Pesticides (Toxic Chemicals)” (covers all aspects of handling these substances: their transport, storage, disposal of empty reservoirs, maximum permissible residual quantities, etc.) Official decrees to be observed by regional and district authorities and institutions of State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision to control the use of pesticides (to be revised).
