FQPA of 1996 Draft year: August 1996 Amendment years: Not amended THE FQPA is a National act Function: The FQPA changed the way that the EPA evaluates and regulates pesticides. It amended the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act and the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. This act led to improvements in public health and environmental protection.

FQPA of 1996 Environmental issues affected: Stricter safety standards (for infants and children Reassess pesticide tolerances Regulate pesticide use Improvements in public health Assess the impact of pesticides on the food/water we consume The EPA is responsible for regulation and enforcement of the FQPA
