Logic of intervention Identify specific needs in small-scale agriculture to adequately promote and support traditional food productions in the Balkans and Turkey  desk research on relevant law and policy processes in each country  field research on endangered food and agricultural products  Advocacy, to influence public policies on agriculture, rural development and food sector Grassroots projects, to preserve endangered food and products (Ark of taste and Presidia)   Raising awareness  among decisions makers, so to promote a sustainable rural development model;  among citizens, so to impact their daily food choices;

4. F IELD RESEARCH THEMES …SSFs rely on preserved food biodiversity (animal breeds, varieties), and on traditional knowledge (processing methods and techniques). …such as? We have engaged in a huge mapping of each country territory to identify what are the existing food heritages that are facing extinction. We will do so through the tools provided by Slow Food: 1.The Ark of Taste; 2.Slow Food Presidia;
