2 Here is a picture of a “small” Chihuahua and a “tiny” cat. The words, “small” and “tiny” are very similar in meaning. They are both examples of synonyms. TPS-What does tiny mean?

3 Synonym A synonym is a word having the same or nearly the same meaning as another word.

7 Why do we need to know this? Helps us determine the meaning of words. Improves our vocabulary.
