Basic Plot Sam Dawson is a mentally disabled man fighting for custody of his daughter Mind capacity of a 7 year old Raises Lucy until she is 7, then school becomes an issue and she intentionally holds herself back Court and Child Services get involved, entire custody trial begins Rita Harrison agrees to do probono as Sam’s lawyer In the end Sam receives custody of Lucy with assistance of foster parents Logan Taylor
