Physical Change Some of the properties change but the substances stay the same Some physical changes can be reversed, some cannot Examples: butter melting, slicing a tomato, getting your hair cut, melting ice

Chemical change vs. Physical change
Chemical change: the type of matter that makes up the object and the way that the matter is arranged in the object changes Physical change: the composition remains the same
