Discussions What happens to CMS when patency of drugs expires Examine the reduction of costs Resistance of drugs Patency search is done at a fee Botswana market is small for big companies – not a priority for companies and hence Botswana has to run around looking for those willing Local production – will create employment (economic diversification) Need for feasibility study on options – especially local productions Need to plan for future – to curb resistance
