8 Graduate Employability Nottingham Trent University is in 2nd place for graduate employability among all the multi-discipline universities of England and Wales. 97.5% of students graduating from NTU in 2006 were in employment, further study or pursuing another ambition within 6 months of graduating

13 A Consistent Commitment to Quality In the 2004 institutional QAA review, highest commendation for: –consistent commitment to supporting students and their learning, –student-centred approach –driving forward the employability agenda to the benefit of students and other stakeholders

14 Research Quality In the most recent national Research Assessment Exercise (RAE), all of the University’s research units were rated as nationally or internationally important, and 4 gained the coveted ‘5’ Grade. This result makes Nottingham Trent University one of the leading ‘new’ universities in the UK

15 Supporting Research Saving Lives €4.2 Million awarded by the EU for research into cancer More than £5 Million external research income for research within the School of Science and Technology from, for example, The Wolfson Trust, The Wellcome Trust, Research Councils and Charities, 2001-2005

16 Haemato-oncological Research The Anthony Nolan Trust – the charity which manages the UK’s most successful bone marrow register - is funding the establishment at NTU of its only regional scientific centre outside London. The Anthony Nolan Trust is also funding the Chair for Leukaemia and Haemato-oncological Research at NTU.
