14. 14 Research Quality In the most recent national Research Assessment Exercise (RAE), all of the University’s research units were rated as nationally or internationally important, and 4 gained the coveted ‘5’ Grade. This result makes Nottingham Trent University one of the leading ‘new’ universities in the UK

16. 16 Haemato-oncological Research The Anthony Nolan Trust – the charity which manages the UK’s most successful bone marrow register - is funding the establishment at NTU of its only regional scientific centre outside London. The Anthony Nolan Trust is also funding the Chair for Leukaemia and Haemato-oncological Research at NTU.
