What do you know about the parts of speech? ▪ Noun – Person, place, or thing – List three nouns in the room – What is a proper noun? – Provide me with an example ▪ Adjective – It describes things – Provide 3 adjectives for Mr. Manning ▪ Adverb – Modifies a verb, adjective, or another adverb – How, when, where, or how much – Usually end in ly ▪ Mr. Manning ran quickly. ▪ An incredibly handsome man, Mr. Manning is rarely without a date. ▪ Verb – Shows action – Usually ends in ed or ing

Nocturnal – adj – occurring at night Nocturnally – adv – Mr. Manning liked to shop nocturnally to avoid large crowds.

Carnivore – n – a flesh eating animal ▪ Carnivorus – Mr.Manning is a very carnivorus individual.
