Milestone 2 - Stage 1 Submission Stage 1 Form – on line completion Capital / Revenue specific Basic Information – describe project, project location, costs, timescale, outputs and outcomes Process Submit to Sport England - 15 working day turnaround for decision Assessed by appointed Case Manager Peer Review Encourage / Discourage – deliver Sport England priorities Encourage - Stage 2 Development Meeting Discourage - letter outlining reasons

Milestone 3 – Essential Documentation & Eligibility Check Stage 2 - Meet with Case Manager Check the following :- Child Protection Policy Constitution Land Ownership Confirm Applicant Designs Planning Approval Job Descriptions Case Developer - Sign Off - Progress to Milestone 4

Milestone 4 - Project Development Need Strategic / Local Key Partners Fit for Purpose Deprived communities - Active People data Financial Need Benefits Wider Value - education, health, community safety, economic Increase and sustain participation Volunteers / Coaches Target Groups Innovative and Creative Costs Funding Confirmation - who, what, when - any conditions, eligible as partner funding Realistic Costs? - Capital QS or Tendered Who is responsible for the delivery and management of the project

Funded Projects Capital - £10,000 upwards – max to date £500,000 Multi Use Games Areas, Skateparks, Sports Halls, Swimming Pools, Mobile Gym, Fitness Suites, Artificial Turf Pitches, Dance Studios, Pavilions, Cycle Networks, Gymnastics Centre, Canoeing Facilities, Outdoor Pursuits Centre Revenue – up to 3 year funding Back in to Sport Programmes, Coaching Academies, Disability Sport Programmes, Development Officers, Health Officers, Sports Outreach Programmes

Submission Dates Stage 1 Any time Stage 2 – if over £250,000 request Submit by 30 th October for 14 th November 2007 Board 2008 Dates Submit by January 2 nd for 18 th January Submit by 29 th February for 18 th March Submit by 28 th April for 14 th May Submit by 23 rd June for Mid July Submit by 5 th September for 23 rd September Submit by 31 st October for 14 th November
