Monkeys Monkeys are primates, which means they are prepared for life in trees. Monkeys have thumbs on their hands and feet Have facial features much like humans Monkeys have excellent eyesight !

Zebras Zebras live on the African plains. They share the grasslands with giraffes and are hunted by lions. Zebras are members of the horse family. They have stripes to help them blend in with their surroundings.

Elephants Elephants are the biggest land animals. Elephants can weigh as much as 60 adults and can be as tall as a school bus! Tusks are long teeth that grow out of their mouths. Elephants eat ONLY plants, and grab their food with their trunks. Trunks are made out of muscle.

Rhinoceros’ are endangered which means they are at high risk of dying out in the wild. It is the most endangered mammal in the world! They are warm-blooded, which means they always stay about the same temperature. They live in the savannas of Africa (grassland areas with trees).

Giraffes can live to be more than 30 years in captivity. In the wild, do not live more than 25 years. Each giraffe has a unique pattern. Their enemies are lions and even HUMANS!!!!!!!

Kangaroo Kangaroos live in Australia. They live together in “mobs”. The male is called a buck. The baby is called a joey. As it hops, its tail helps it to balance.
