In an insect-infested, hot, humid and dense jungle, far away from anywhere with running water, electricity or roads, lie over 16 enormous ancient monuments.

While there is a lot that remains a mystery, what scientists do know is that the people who lived there over 3,000 years ago were called the Olmec.
There is evidence that the Olmec had a good understanding of astronomy and mathematics (based on an accurate calendar system that archeologists found) as well as knowledge of building engineering and written language.
However, it is the stone monuments, that attract the most attention.

Your ability to write an IF .. THEN … process will not only help you figure out the meaning of an unfamiliar word, it will also help you in critical thinking in English and other subjects like Math. It is important that you develop this ability.
