4 2014 Ultimate Schedule Game Schedule: One to two games per week Approximately half the games are away games; transportation is provided An up-to-date game schedule can be found at AndoverUltimate.com Tournament Schedule: Each team participates in at least one weekend tournament Tournaments are held most weekends in May Transportation and overnight housing for players provided as needed Practice Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 3:30-5:30 Lower Shawsheen and South School Each team’s location changes – check email!

6 Ultimate Fees and Fundraising Andover Ultimate is a self-funded sport and depends on registration fees and volunteer fundraising. Andover Ultimate does not receive any money from the town or school budgets or athletic fees. The $215 Registration Fee is paid to AYS and covers: Coaches’ stipends Transportation to away games and tournaments Uniforms In addition, AUFBA raises funds to cover additional expenses Tournament entry fees and expenses End of season banquet expenses Player subsidies Fundraising sources: Raffle ticket sales (mandatory $100 minimum per player) Andover Invitational Tournament Canning Carwash Fuddruckers night Gopher Gear and Concession sales

7 Ultimate Raffle Each player is responsible for $100 worth of raffle tickets – 20 tickets at $5 each Players pay for the tickets up front, then can sell them to recover the investment or keep them to enter the drawing Payment is due by April 17 – tomorrow! Tickets can be picked up tonight, at practices this week, or at the Andover Invite Players who have not paid, cannot play! Ticket stubs must be returned by May 20 to coaches or boosters Drawing is held at the Andover Cup May 23 at the AHS turf (winners do not need to be present)

8 ANDOVER INVITATIONAL GLTS Greater Lawrence Technical School Major regional high school Ultimate tournament hosted by Andover Ultimate Tournament format: 12 Division II (our JV) teams play on Saturday 4/26; 10 Division I (our Varsity) teams play on Sunday 4/27 Pool play and playoffs with winners and consolation winners each day Spirit of the Game winners elected by the participants All games are at the Greater Lawrence Technical School (VocTech) Volunteers Needed One hour set-up Saturday and Sunday 8:00-9:00 One and a half hour clean up Saturday and Sunday 5:00–6:30 Two hours shifts at the concession stand each day 9-11, 11-1, 1-3, 3-5

9 Other Fundraising Canning – Saturday, May 3 – all players (except those at Amherst Tournament) take 1-2 hour shifts canning at store locations in Andover Fuddruckers night – Tuesday, May 20 – come have dinner at Fuddruckers; Andover Ultimate gets 20% of all proceeds with a coupon Car wash – Saturday, June 14 – all players take 1-2 hour shifts washing cars at West Middle School

Fundraising Chair: Taisha Weber Raffle Coordinator: Karen Kim Carwash Coordinator: OPEN Canning Coordinator: Taisha Weber Andover Cup Coordinator: OPEN 2014 Andover Invitational: Chairman: Hilary Trismen End of Year Picnic: Andrew Szendey Other volunteer opportunities: -Take a shift at the Andover Invite - Take a shift supervising at the carwash - Collect money from the canning sites - Host the pasta dinner on Friday, May 2 before the Amherst Tournament - Organize cookout food for dinner in Amherst May 3 (no need to travel) - Act as a chaperone at any of the tournaments - Get certified to drive the AYS van to tournaments and come along! - Become a volunteer assistant coach and get involved!

Schedule is subject to change. The Andover Ultimate Frisbee Booster Association (AUFBA) is composed of parents, players and Ultimate fans who support Andover Ultimate The group meets monthly in winter/spring.
