3 Senior Ball Chairs: Brenda Balfrey, Pam Lewerenz, Elizabeth Silva  Date: Saturday, May 9th, 2015,  Time: 7:00 – 11:30 pm (Buses load at 5:30pm)  Location: California Academy of Sciences in SF  Events: Dinner, Dancing, Photos and Entertainment  Tickets on Sale:  Beginning April 15 th on web store!  Buses, tickets and table assignments will happen at lunch in the quad last week of April. Note: Students must bring the permission slip and guest passes also found on the web store with them when they sign up.  Ticket Price: $110  Transportation: Bus  Attire: Formal Tuxedo and Long Dresses  Volunteers (contact Chairs)

5 Memory Boards Chairs: Patty Gonser and Kathy Biro What are Memory Boards? Photo collage of your graduating senior!  Pick up your board this evening – an instruction sheet is included  Tips:  Student’s name incorporated in the collage & your name/phone number on the back  Vertical arrangement  Copy all photos in case collage is damaged or lost  Online options to create collage  Return board for display by 5/29 to the College and Career Office  Boards will be displayed in the PAC lobby from 6/4 through graduation.  Pick up boards as you leave the graduation ceremony  Volunteer to help set up and take down (sign up sheet) Note: Didn't order a board? We have some extras and the frames can also be purchased at Michael's in Pleasant Hill.

6 Senior Symposium and Senior Picnic Associate Principal Zach Pinkerton & Liaisons  Date: Friday June 5 th  Time: Symposium and Picnic are during school hours!  Who: AHS Seniors Only  What is the symposium?  In the morning of June 5 th, Seniors will gather in the PAC for an informational session designed to provide insights into life post high school to reduce the stress of the transition.  What happens at the picnic?  Seniors spend the afternoon together out on the field. Lunch and outdoor games and activities will be provided.  Note: If you have a pop up tent to loan for the day and/or would like to volunteer to help please contact us.

7 Time of Reflection Chairs: Mary Collett and Barbara Vogel  Date: Sunday, June 7 th  Time: 3 – 4 with light refreshments to follow  Where: Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church 1801 Lacassie Ave., W.C.  What is Time of Reflection?  Student planned, non-denominational event  Opportunity for reflection...inspirational in nature  Features:  Speeches by senior class members  Speeches by faculty  Music (vocal & instrumental) by senior class members  Attire: Collared Shirts and Dresses  All seniors and their families are welcome to attend  No tickets are needed

8 Graduation Associate Principal Zach Pinkerton  Date: Friday, June 12  Mandatory Student Rehearsal – 12:30 pm  Ceremony Time: 6:00 – 7:00  Where: Graduation Ceremony on the football field  Seating:  Gates will open at 4:00pm for seating  All questions about handicapped seating and special needs should be directed to the Attendance Office  If you ordered a Lei for your student it can be picked up in the Quad starting at 4:00pm  Music provided by the AHS Band  Immediately following the ceremony will be an opportunity for photos with your graduate (no post reception in the gym this year) – Campus Candids will be taking pictures after graduation of your graduate and family and friends for purchase later.  Tips:  Parking is VERY tight. Please arrive in 1 car if possible and drop off your graduate.  To secure the mortarboard bobby pins are helpful. Tassel is worn over right temple.  Attire: Boys in collared shirt and slacks and girls in dresses shorter than gown. Must wear shoes.  Diplomas are mailed to graduates in June  8:00 pm Grads change, check - in and board buses for Grad Night 2015!

9 Grad Night Chairs: Jen Aiello  Purpose:  To create a safe, drug and alcohol free celebration  For AHS graduating seniors only  Unforgettable night filled with activities, games, dancing, entertainment, dinner and surprises.  Supervised by senior parent volunteers (Volunteer Sign Ups on Sign Up Genius- contact us)  Approx. 85% of graduating class attends  Tickets are $220 and still on sale at the webstore  Where: Treasure Island  When:  Check in from 4:00 – 5:00pm in the Acalanes quad prior to graduation  Students load buses at 8:00 pm in AHS parking lot (Students will receive a light snack before boarding the buses).  Event is from 8:00 pm after graduation until 3:00 am the following morning.  Buses will return to AHS parking lot at 4:00am the next morning. (Students will be breathalyzed when loading bus).  Attire:  Students will change into comfortable clothes for the evening and they need closed toe shoes for some activities.  All belongings go home with parents.  Only cell phones and car keys go with them.  All permission slips must be completed prior to grad night or the student will not be allowed to attend
