3 ENVIRONMENTAL PARK MISSION Instill the importance of environmental sustainability on the ATS community while enjoying its great facilities.

4 Original Project includes: Palapa – 12-m diameter Pier – 12 m long Aeration system for the fish pond (already in place) Brick road Picnic tables Bathroooms (already in place)

5 Main purposes : Provide a natural outdoor teaching and research space Improve the amenity and aesthetics of the ATS campus Provide a link between teaching and learning and the local ecology Provide habitat for a range of native plants and animals Provide a space for leisure activities that promote the appreciation of nature and healthy family and social relationships

6 General Rules: Only reusable materials allowed Use of “palapa”, picnic tables, and other services with previous reservation without a fee for school purposes, with a fee for outside & extracurricular purposes Pets on a leash and with mandatory disposal of wastes

7 ENVIRONMENTAL PARK VISION An area that provides opportunities for increasing awareness and appreciation of our natural resources, and for learning about and practicing environmental sustainability during leisure and recreational activities. The following slides show examples of the components of this vision. Let’s work together towards changing them to include our students soon!
