Advanced Manufacturing, Mechatronics, and Quality Consortium (AMMQC/TAACCCT) IRT program is part of a National effort to create pathways to manufacturing jobs.

Goal To develop graduates for entry level positions in manufacturing and to develop their individual career pathways in the field of Advanced manufacturing

Grant Summary $ 2.9 Million for NC State ▫Personnel ▫Equipment Length ▫Completion 9/30/2017 Training Goals ▫Consortium total :1720 ▫NC State: 250 of the total ▫Common Core element for Industrial Readiness Training (IRT) ▫Interchange of ideas to create curriculums

Who does the Grant serve? AMMQC TAACCCT participants must meet the following eligibility criteria: 18 years of age or older Eligible to work in United States (U.S. Citizen or authorized to work) Member of targeted group (TAA-impacted, Unemployed, Dislocated Worker, Underemployed Worker) as certified by local workforce agency, with the following order of priority: ▫TAA-eligible Veterans ▫Other TAA-eligible ▫Dislocated worker, unemployed, or underemployed

Types of IRT’s Customer focused training

Foscused IRT Key train for Math, Reading, Information Gathering, Work Key tests on each Basic Machine, test with Mechanical Aptitude Tester 10 Hour OSHA training Introduction to needed entry level operation ▫Examples: ▫Overview of Operator duties ▫Math/Measurement ▫Blueprint Reading/Measurement ▫Lab- Visit customer site and perform observation and assessment, if necessary ▫Test Student- “Determine Good Part” ▫Intro to customer service Soft Skills Training ▫Team Building ▫Conflict ▫Communications ▫Interview Skills ▫Resume ▫Listening ▫Time Management ▫Work Place Ethics NC State Focused IRT training

Candidates will take the mechanical aptitude test during the two weeks of class, if required Mechanical Aptitude Tester

Drug Free Policy Drugs are not permitted in the workplace nor are they permitted at NCSC.
