Led by Ann Langston, who supported Dame Clare Tickell’s Review of the EYFS, and Early Years Matters team members, this course will involve participants in exploring ways to create environments that will support young children’s learning in the revised EYFS, addressing the new EYFS principle: A Positive Environment. This course will provide opportunities to: Understand the role of the environment as the ‘third teacher’ in the revised EYFS through explorations of continuous and enhanced provision Consider how a positive, enabling environment can support learning in the Prime and Specific areas of the revised EYFS framework Identify and explore the conditions for learning that reflect children’s needs, build their confidence and ensure their potential is developed throughout the early years and into Key Stage One Explore practical ways to develop your current learning environment to maximise its potential Attendance Certificate and Lunch included Full access to the Madeleine Lindley Book Centre Recognised for our significant involvement in the development of the EYFS and Birth to Three Matters as well as our contribution to the EYFS review, we are dedicated to making early education better for young children and those who work with them.
