2 What does my animal look like?  Garter snakes are black, yellow, green, grey, and brown.  Garter snakes have scales all over is body.  The garter snake has no tail at all.  Garter snakes are 18-48 inches long(about 4 feet).

3 Where does my animal live?  Garter snakes can live anywhere in the U.S.A. and Canada.  For example: Mostly in damp meadows and damp forests ANYWHERE.

4 What does my animal eat?  The Garter Snake is a carnivore that eats: Insects, Earthworms, Frogs, Toads, Salamanders, and Mice.

5 What adaptations does it have to help it survive? AdaptationHow It helps the Animal Survive Camouflage skinHelps it blend with surroundings. Good swimmersHelps catch prey. Huddle together in winter This helps them by staying warm in winter

6 Here are some amazing facts:  Males and females leave the den and the males watch out for other females to mate with.  Garter snakes are the only wild snake ever seen in the U.S. state of Alaska.
