3. The River Nile  The River Nile is the longest river in the world.  It helped them to grow crops.  It was used for fishing.

4. Farming  The farmers grew wheat, barley, vegetables, figs, melons, pomegranates and vines.  They grew flax which was made into linen.  They had three seasons.

5. Seasons  in Akhet it was the flooding season.  in Peret it was the growing season.  in Shemu it was the harvesting season.

6. Hieroglyphs  Ancient Egyptians wrote on papyrus reed.  They use to write with thin, sharp reeds.
