Faith is knowing the sun will rise, lighting each new day. Faith is knowing the Lord will hear my prayers each time I pray. Faith is like a little seed: If planted, it will grow. Faith is a swelling within my heart. When I do right, I know.

Therefore, just as a good seed with proper care and nourishment will eventually become a strong and healthy tree, the word of God, planted in our hearts and properly nourished, will develop into a strong testimony.

10. Alma taught the Zoramites about faith
Alma taught the Zoramites about faith. He said those people who ask for a sign before they will believe do not have faith.

11. Alma said faith is believing that something is true without actually being there to see it.

12. He explained that faith grows as a person wants to believe and listens to the word of God. The word is then planted in the person’s heart, and like a seed it starts to grow.

13. As a person learns more about the gospel, the seed sprouts and keeps growing. The person knows that the seed is good, and his or her faith grows stronger.

14. Alma said that just as a good seed produces good fruit, the word of God brings blessings to people who have faith.

(Experiment means to try something you are not sure about. When we experiment, or keep commandments, such as the Word of Wisdom, we receive blessings for our obedience and our testimonies become stronger.)

Just as a seed will grow into a tree, if we learn and obey the word of God, we will gain a strong testimony of the gospel.
