There is a nationwide emphasis on increasing the number of high school students who graduate and are prepared for education beyond high school and for their chosen fields of work. In order to achieve this worthy goal the State of Georgia is focusing on providing resources to students that exhibit a high probability of not graduating.

Work to improve graduation rates for all population subgroups within the school Perform responsibilities such as gathering and analyzing data for individual students; identifying potential barriers to graduation Develop and implementing individual intervention strategies Work with students to develop a graduation and achievement plan to include the best program to meet academic and postsecondary goals.
