Protecting life, environment and property... 1 System build-up ID: AVOICE_System_BuildUp_Eng, 07-2003

Protecting life, environment and property... 2 Operator panels BR-210 Standard zone selection w/max 14 zones or zone groups Built-in swan-neck microphone Max. 32 panels per system Max 750 metres cable from central to operator panel

Protecting life, environment and property... 3 Versions of Operator panel BR-210 3 versions of BR-210: BR-210/A: BS-100 design with 14 zone groups BR-210/01: AutroSafe design with 14 zone groups BR-210/02: AutroSafe design with 6 zone groups

Protecting life, environment and property... 4 Build-up: PA rack The PA rack is module based This means that certain ”rules” must be followed to get a correct system We will now and through the build-up of such a rack

Protecting life, environment and property... 5 cont. Build-up: PA rack 1. Calculate loudspeakers When the loudspeakers are calculated and distributed on loudspeaker lines, you have enough information to calculate Amplifiers. A good rule: Calculate all loudspeaker tappings and add about 50% to the amplifier capacity In example: 20 horn speakers, indoor type BBR-MR10A/T à 3W = 60W 3 horn speakers, outdoor type BBR-MR10A/T à 5W =15W 60 ceiling speakers type BBR-BK560/T à 1,5W =90W Total165W + 50% of 165 = 82,5W247,5W

Protecting life, environment and property... 6 2. Amplifiers... BO-50:Booster amplifier, 50W BO-100: Booster amplifier, 100W BO-150: Booster amplifier, 150W BO-250: Booster amplifier, 250W Booster amplifiers are placed in separate ”cassettes”, height: 2U. cont. Build-up: PA rack

Protecting life, environment and property... 7 3. Cassette for placement of modules… MC-03: Cassette for 8 (9) module spots Height: 3U. cont. Build-up: PA rack

Protecting life, environment and property... 8 4. Insert modules.... APS-99: CPU unit 1 pc. must always be included APS-52:Input-unit 1 pc. must always be included APS-53:Input-unit 24V For sectioning of up to 4 zones APS-55:Control-unit 1 pc. must always be included Used together with APS-52 Note: Takes up 2 module spots APS-75:Relay output-unit. At least 1 pc. must always be included. 4 relay outputs (programmable) cont. Build-up: PA rack

Protecting life, environment and property... 9 4. Cont. Insert modules.... APS-07:Chime-unit 1 pc. APS-07 or APS-08 must be included if you require chime signal before message APS-16:Input-unit for Operator panel/ digital microphones Max. 32 panels /mic.’s per. APS-16 1 pc. Per system if panel and/or dig. mic is included APS-24:Text store-unit. 1 pc. must be included with 99 Pre-recorded messages Note: Takes up 3 module spots cont. Build-up: PA rack

Protecting life, environment and property... 10 4. Cont. Insert modules.... APS-62:Output unit for loudspeaker lines Output for 2 loudspeaker lines Note: Max. 150W can be connected this unit APS-64: Output unit for loudspeaker lines Output for 4 loudspeaker lines Note: Max. 150W can be connected this unit Note: Takes up 2 module spots cont. Build-up: PA rack

Protecting life, environment and property... 11 4. Cont. Insert modules.... APS-77:Monitoring unit CPU Controls monitoring of all units Min. 1 pc. per cassette containing APS-78 and/or APS-79 APS-78: Monitoring unit for loudspeaker lines Programmable sensitivity Min. 1 pc. per 4. loudspeaker lines APS-79:Monitoring unit for amplifiers Programmable sensitivity Min. 1 pc. per 2 amplifiers cont. Build-up: PA rack

Protecting life, environment and property... 12 4. Cont. Insert modules.... APS-90:Internal Power Supply Used on systems with few amplifiers and many modules Gives 900mA Usually 1 pc. when only 1 amplifier connected APS-59:Communication unit Used to connect central in a decentralised system. Can connect up to 16 centrals in a system Only 1 system cable necessary. cont. Build-up: PA rack

Protecting life, environment and property... 13 4. Cont. Insert modules APS-01:Input unit for Mic./AUX APS-02: Input unit for music sources (i.e. CD) APS-40:Input-/switch unit for up to 4 music sources Used for connecting more than 1 music source to a system 2 inputs for external sound sources, 2 inputs for internal sound sources If more than 2 external sound sources is required, APS-01 unit is needed in addition. cont. Build-up: PA rack

Protecting life, environment and property... 14 4. Cont. Insert modules APS-21:Cassette player- unit, single APS-22: Cassette player - unit, double APS-25:FM radio- unit Programmable 32 channels. We usually use an external CD player or CD changer cont. Build-up: PA rack

Protecting life, environment and property... 15 Paging Microphones APS-308:Microphone with 8 buttons 7 programmable APS-316:Microphone with 16 buttons 15 programmable APS-364:Microphone with 64 buttons 63 programmable

Protecting life, environment and property... 16 Paging microphone APS-388 Alphanumeric display 128 programmable functions 5 extra function buttons Key switch “Covered” alarm button Start/stop cd player Start/stop announcement machine Start pre recorded messages Etc.

Protecting life, environment and property... 17 APS technology ARC technology Remote control units

Protecting life, environment and property... 18 Cable description GZ-928: System cable from the PA manufacturer Rather economic Used from PA rack to operator- panels/microphone Usually 6 pairs of signal cable is needed between the Fire Alarm Central and the PA rack Loudspeaker cable: In the handbook for BR-200 a table is presented. This states type of Loudspeaker cable, and dimensions
