INTRODUCTION To use the sun to heat: - A good idea because the sun is an inexhaustible energy source for humans. -Hot water is a significant part of the energy bill of a building, which can be reduced through the use of solar energy.

I) The goal of the project Goal: Goal: To provide hot water in the school with solar panels which will heat the water in the boiler. In the winter there will be an energy booster.

II) Operation II) Operation 1°) The principle 2°) The location 3°) The type of system
8
1°) The principle Solar water heaters are made up of key elements which are the thermal solar panels and the storage tank.
9
2°) The location The location of the 150 m² of solar panels must: - be oriented to the South-East or South-West. - not be in any shadow when the sun is at its lowest during the day.
10
3°) The type of system For the boarding building, we have chosen ECS: solar water-heater elements with a separate pump and a regulator.

IV) Our calculations According to a website, it takes 3 m ² of solar panels to heat 200 liters of water. The boarding building has two balloons of 5,000 liters each. So we need 150 m² of solar panels to heat the 10,000 liters for an investment of 23,340 euros.
