2 Content The foundation for Danish Food Cluster: Rationale, mission, vision and audience The core of the cluster Goals and milestones Roadmap This strategy for Danish Food Cluster is based on material and input from, among others, several co-creation sessions with members, a 24-hour strategic retreat with the board of Danish Food Cluster, change work with Danish Design Center and inspiration from Skåne Food Innovation Network and Food Valley NL

3 The Foundation: Rationale
The market for food is growing rapidly, driven by a surge in population worldwide and increasing numbers of middle-class consumers The development presents huge commercial potential but also a fundamental challenge in a world that lacks resources such as protein and water The Danish food community has the competencies to embrace this “Global Food Challenge” and release the commercial potential - but enhanced innovation, cooperation and visibility are needed Therefore all sectors of the food community - small and large companies, research and educational institutions, local and national government and food-related associations - see the benefit of uniting in Danish Food Cluster.

The vision of Danish Food Cluster is to build a world-leading cluster within food innovation, a hub for talent, investors, companies and science The mission is to facilitate innovation through branding and cooperation in the whole food value chain, supporting the visibility and growth of members Pay off: The hub for food innovation

Increase the growth rate of members Secure the pipeline for new products, technology, business models and talent Find new solutions to provide value to industry and tackle the global food challenge Bring awareness and recognition to the Danish food cluster

Danish Food Cluster is aimed at global food players, who can benefit from and contribute to the development of the food sector in Denmark and who share the mission and vision of Danish Food Cluster
