1 BATTLE OF PRINCETON By: Jonathan A.

2 INTRO This is the battle of Princeton. It was a battle that the Americans had lost their lives, but won the battle. Most people just know it was a battle of the American Revolutionary war…But that is JUST half of the story.

3 COMBATANTS The general in charge for the American army was George Washington. With an army of 7,000 Americans. Wearing blue uniforms The other two generals were Lord Cornwallis, and general Charles Mawhood. With 8,000 British soldiers, wearing red coats and bearskin hats.

4 WHAT WAS IT??? Battle of Princeton, was a battle of the American Revolutionary War. This battle was just one of the battles that was fought for the American nation The battle was also fought so the Americans can be liberated/free from the British.

5 WHERE??? This battle was held at Princeton, New Jersey in the United States of America. It used to be a plain battlefield in the past. Now it is a national park of the state New Jersey.

6 WHEN WAS IT??? Battle of Princeton was held in January 3 rd of 1777. It was held right after the battle of Trenton on December 26 th of 1776.

7 WHY??? The battle of Princeton was fought because it was a chance for the Americans to have a surprise attack against the British.

8 HOW??? The battle was fought like any other battle was fought. With guns and cannons and other weapons of destruction.

9 IN THE END The end of this battle was an American victory. General Cornwallis abandoned some of his posts in New Jersey, and had went back to Brunswick. This battle has cost the Americans 30 dead and 75 wounded. It cost the British 60 dead 150 wounded and 244 captured.
