Open the nose and brightens the eyes Du cun above anterior hairline and 1.5 cun anterior to Du20. DU cun above posterior hairline and 1.5 cun posterior to DU20. calms the mind and opens the mind’s orifice DU16: feng fu, 1 cun above posterior hairline BL cun above posterior hairline, 1.3 cun lateral midline. Extinguishes wind and subdues liver yang, expels exterior wind, strengthens the greater yang channels, clear brain, opens the sense of orifice UB60 jing river point of the bladder. It clears heat, extinguishes interior wind and subdues rebellious qi from the head, removes obstructions from the channel. It can strengthen the back, invigorates blood and promotes labor. It is a distal point in the treatment of backache. It differs from UB40 in so far as it is better for chronic rather than acute backache, and better fro backache of deficiency. Also it benefits for the shoulder, neck and occiput and therefore much used for painful obstruction syndrome of the shoulder, neck and head.
