2 Purpose of this presentation It is not the purpose of this presentation to scare you out of taking that long awaited vacation. It is not for the purposes of putting fear into you and let the bad things of this world keep you locked behind closed doors. There is a verse in the bible that says “and the truth shall set you free”. I believe in this quote. And I would like to interpret this also to mean, and the truth of the facts will set you free of fear. When I travel the world I feel free, free because of the education. I educate myself on the bad things of this world and like a good ally cat, I avoid those areas. This presentation is here to help you gain a little understanding of what police security, and consultants know. (Or may not know as in some cases I have learned ) Learn and grow !

4 Bomb threat evacuation The “red spot is the bomb” when you evacuate a building with a possible explosive device, get as far back as you can. Normally I would recommend 500 meters. This is due to the fact that many times if there is 1 bomb, there will be 1 more outside the area. REMEMBER if there is 1 there are 2 !!! Do not hang around to see what is going to happen, many times there is another explosive device In a car or any possible place that a bomb can be placed.
5
5 Bomb threat area When bombs are put into a night club or any such place, stay far away from the windows, many are placed so that the windows and other things become projectiles to maximize the blast effect. Typically you should avoid outside seating area, at times terrorists ram bomb packed cars into the crowd. If you plan to sit outside, see if the surrounding area has some poles of heavy plant pots blocking the area from cars driving up to the seated area. They must be strong enough to stop a car.
6
6 Bomb area evacuation Here again we see a possible area of evacuation. Never stand in the area. Run to the left and run to the right. 500 meters minimum. Run and don’t stop running. If you hang around in the area, you will be the victim of bomb number 2 sitting close by.

7 Fire safety Area dangers When I teach security personnel bomb threat awareness in the nightclubs, one Of the most important things I tell them is to watch the outside area around you. The red represents dangers. When you exit the danger area, at times the dangers will be like I illustrated. If you see that other people are not going to a safe area Don’t do as the rest of the sheep before the slaughter and graze around. RUN !!!!!!!!!!!!
8
8 Can you spot the danger area if that red car on the right was the car bomb ? If you were standing across the street from that red car, where would you run if you knew of the danger ? And how far ?
9
9 Danger zone If you have not thought about fallout, think about this. Fallout of a bomb blast cause 50 percent more deaths within the explosion area. If you were to hide behind other cars, the broken glass from windows may fall on you and cut you up very badly if not killing you.

10 Evacuation Bomb jacket Here is an example of a home made bomb vest. Notice the hand held trigger, Some are equipped with push button on the chest and on the back in case they are grabbed, this will make the bomb explode. If someone does capture the suicide bomber, another terrorist that is standing at a distance will make a call on his cell phone which will then ignite the bomb.
