Rotary Wine’n Shine January to October, 2008 Strengthening important Community Partnerships Strategic Changes
20
Banner Bank has been our invaluable community service partner since 1990. Since its earliest days as the Towne Bank of Woodinville, Banner has contributed well over $200,000 to programs in cooperation with Woodinville Rotary. The Bank is committed to a $15,000 donation in 2008 and we are inviting Banner to extend that same support to 2009 and 2010.
21
The nearly 40 member wineries of Woodinville Wine Country have invited Woodinville Rotary to partner with them in staging a two-day summer wine, food and music festival at Marymoor Park. Festival proceeds directed to Woodinville Rotary will be added to earmarked funds from Wine’n Shine in October to start an endowment to support our annual VitEnol scholarships at Walla Walla Community College and Washington State University.
22
Mark July 26-27 on your calendar to attend and to help stage this first festival. In addition, Woodinville Wine Country members will participate in presenting our unique, fifth annual Wines of Woodinville Collectors Cases to be featured at Rotary Wine’n Shine this spring and again in October.
23
Our $ 75,000 commitment marks the third major contribution Woodinville Rotary Club has made to the development of the city of Woodinville’s parks system – raising funds from our annual charity events totaling $292,000. Wilmot Gateway Park -- $ 127,500 Rotary Community Park -- $90,000 and now Woodinville Fields -- $75,000 Sports a’ Field
