Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival Overview To date, the Festival has raised approximately $14 million for the Florida International University (FIU) School of Hospitality and Tourism Management and Southern Wine & Spirits Beverage Management Center. Held annually during the last weekend in February, the Festival is a star-studded four day destination event attracting world renowned chefs, winemakers, culinary personalities, mixologists and a veritable who’s who of the food, wine, hospitality, and travel industries. About Lee Brian Schrager Lee Brian Schrager, one of the nation’s preeminent event planners and public relations experts, serves as the Vice President of Corporate Communications & National Events at Southern Wine & Spirits of America. He joined the company in 2000 and oversees projects for the company in all 29 states in which it does business. Schrager is known for his creation of the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival, and more recently the launch of the Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival. Central to Schrager’s business philosophy is the notion of giving back to the community, and appropriately both Festivals are registered non-profit organizations. The South Beach Wine & Food Festival® benefits the Florida International University School of Hospitality and Tourism Management and the Southern Wine & Spirits Beverage Management Center located on campus. Proceeds from the New York City Wine & Food Festival benefit the hunger relief organizations Share Our Strength® and Food Bank For New York City. www.sobefestcookbook.com www.twitter.com/Lee_Schrager Prior to joining Southern Wine & Spirits of America, Schrager spent 17 years with InterContinental Hotels across the country where he began as a room service manager and worked his way up to Vice President of Food & Beverage at the InterContinental Hotels. Schrager studied at the Culinary Institute of America and at the School of Hospitality Management at Florida International University.

Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival Overview The NYC Festival benefits the hunger relief programs Food Bank For New York City and Share Our Strength®. The 2011 Festival will take place September 29 – October 2. What began in 2007 as a one-event dessert party, SWEET, has rapidly grown into one of New York City’s most anticipated wine and food celebrations each Columbus Day Weekend. Centered around the Meatpacking District, and expanding to areas like Brooklyn and Harlem, the NYC Festival captures the sophistication and allure that makes New York City one of the world’s greatest culinary destinations The 2010 Festival drew over 40,000 guests to over 120 different events and raised $1.1 million to help fight hunger. www.nycwineandfoodfestival.com
