HAWAII STATE FISH HUMUHUMUNUKUNUKUAPUAA The Hawaii State fish was adopted in 1984. The name means tiger fish with a snout like a pig.

HAWAII STATE MARINE MAMMAL HUMPBACK WHALE The humpback Whale was adopted on 1979. The Humpback Whale is endangered. The whale gets its name from the way their back arches.

HAWAII STATE MAMMAL HAWAIIAN MONK SEAL The Monk Seal was adopted on 2008. The Monk Seal is one of the worlds most endangered species.

HAWAII STATE SEAL The Hawaii State Seal was adopted on 1959. The seal was designed by Viggo Jacobson.

HAWAII STATE TREE CANDLENUT TREE The tree was adopted on 1959. The first tree was the coconut palm but they changed it to the candlenut tree.
