4 John 4: 13 & 14 (Woman at the well) ‘Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.’

5 John 6:26 & 27 (after feeding of 5000) ‘I tell you the truth, you are looking for me, not because you saw miraculous sings but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. Do not work for food that spoils but for food that endures to eternal life, which I will give you.’

6 … put down your nets! … and they left their nets and followed Him. 4:20

13 Blaise Pascal Christian philosopher 1600’s said ‘That we all have a “God-shaped void” in our lives. All men are hungry and thirsty; the problem is that we try to fill that emptiness, that hunger, with things other than the righteousness of God. We try to fill that “God-shaped void” in our lives with all kinds of things, but we are left empty, unsatisfied.

14 Matthew Ch5:20 ‘For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.’

15 Righteousness Through… The Law Only for the Jew Based on works Self-righteous Cannot Save Leads to Pride Faith For whosoever Comes by faith alone God’s righteousness Brings Salvation Glorifies God

19 I tried keeping rules and working my head off to please God, and it didn’t work. So I quit being a ‘law man’ so that I could be God’s man. Gal. 2:20 TM
