But what is a myth? In ancient Greece, stories about gods and goddesses and heroes and monsters were an important part of everyday life. They explained everything from religious rituals to the weather, and they gave meaning to the world people saw around them.

Directions State the central characters of the myth. Must have a summary of the myth itself. Must have a graphic representation: drawing, magazine picture, or computer graphic that ties to myth you read. Must include a personal response to what you have read: comment, interpretation, evaluation, etc. (3 sentences) Must include a hashtag (140 characters or less) that states the central message/theme or lesson that the myth illustrates.
