Purpose of the Project To gain an understanding of the changes in teacher and school leader education certification requirements, performance assessments and learning standards. To provide information and tools to assist in the incorporation of changes in degree programs. To organize collaborative efforts for administration, teacher education, arts and sciences and school leadership faculty and relevant staff, K-12 educators.

cIcu Proposal to NYSED: Focus of the Statewide Project Preparation of teacher and school building leader candidates for the new certification assessments. (edTPA, EAS, ALST) Inclusion of Common Core Standards in teacher and school leader education programs, and arts and sciences programs. Incorporation of the use of data and data-driven instruction into teacher and school leader preparation programs.
