“Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve” (Matthew 4:8-10).

It was Christ The Word of GOD, Who with His finger wrote The Commandments of GOD in Stone. For it is written… “Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” “All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.”

“…he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God” (Exodus 31:18). In the first table of the two tables of Testimony, it is written… “Thou shalt have no other gods before me” (Exodus 20:3).

But many use that time to embellish their homes for display. To follow the fashions and customs of the world. Precious time is being robed, by not giving GOD our hearts. Precious time to feed our own souls with The Spiritual food of GOD’S Word.
12
“The time thus spent in the gratification of selfish desires…” The precious time is spent gratifying the selfish desires.
13
