2 What are Elders? Shepherds (1 Peter 5) “To the elders among you … Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care…. Overseers (1 Peter 5) serving as overseers … because you are willing, as God wants you to be; … eager to serve; … being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away … Sheep Before anything else we Elders are Sheep in the flock of the Chief Shepherd

7 Prayer by the Elders - Mick Bennett “Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.
