3. Say: “The (Qur’an) was sent down by Him Who knows the secret (that is) in the heavens and the earth: verily He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Qur’an 25 : 6) “Do you not know that Allah knows all that is in heaven and on earth? Verily, it is all in the Book. Verily! That is easy for Allah.” (Qur’an 22 : 70)

4. What does the Qur’an says about the shape of the earth ? “Have you not seen how Allah merges the night into day and merges the day into night.” (Qur’an 31 : 29) The use of the word merges emphasizes a slow gradual change, and this is not possible if the earth is flat.

5. Where the light of the moon comes from ? “Blessed is the One who placed the constellations in the Heaven and placed therein a lamp and a moon reflecting light.” (Qur’an 25 : 61) Here the sun is referred to as a lamp for it has its own illumination, while the moon is said to have reflected light or borrowed light, meaning not its own.

6. Is the Sun stationary ? “(Allah is) the One who created the night,the day and the sun and the moon, each one spinning around its own axis (travelling in an orbit).” (Qur’an 21 :33) Here it is evident that the sun and the moon both rotate and further, the celestial law of orbital movement is made mention of.

7. Do Salt Water and Fresh Water mix ? “Allah is the One that has let free two seas, one sweet and palatable and the other is salty and bitter. He placed an unseen barrier between them, a partition that is forbidden to pass.” (Qur’an 25 : 53) This phenomenon is observed at various locations. For example, the region where the Nile River meets with the Mediterranean Sea and more especially in the Gulf stream where the two bodies of water flow together for thousands of kilometers, yet don’t mix.

8. All life began from water ? “And We made every living thing from water. Will they still not believe?” (Qur’an 21 : 30) According to Darwinism and the theory of evolution, it is claimed that all life began in the sea or oceans. Can you imagine that in the deserts of Arabia, where there is obviously a scarcity of water, who would have guessed that not only man but every living thing is made from water.

9. Were all our Continents at one time parts of one consolidated land mass ? “And the earth He extended after that and then drew from it water and pastures.” (Qur’an 79 : 30) Its says that the earth passed through a stage when Allah had caused the land masses to drift apart. All our Continents were at one time parts of one consolidated land mass, then following an explosion, they were scattered or rather pushed away all over the surface of the Earth. Therefore if you look carefully at the picture above, you would see for example that the East Coast of South America would fit neatly against the West Coast of Africa.

10. Do Plants have pairs ? “(Allah is the One) who sent down rain from the sky and with it brought forth a variety of plants in pairs.” (Qur’an 20 : 53) Here the Holy Qur’an mentions a scientific fact which was discovered much later in history, that is, the plant kingdom too has male and female types. “….and of all fruits, (Allah) placed on earth two pairs.” (Qur’an 13 : 3)

11. Do Animals have communities like us ? “There is no animal on earth, no bird which flies on wings, that (does not belong to) communities like you…” (Qur’an 6 : 38) A Branch of the field Zoology has recently pointed out that there exists various social dynamics in the animal world. The branch of Zoology also found the animal or insect which closely resembles the dynamics of human is the ant.

12. What does the Qur’an say about Human Beings ? “….We cause whom we will to rest in the womb for an appointed term.” (Qur’an 22 : 5) “Read in the name of your Lord who fashioned man from something which clings.” (Qur’an 96 : 1-2) As you know, there are structures or elongations from the egg which develops to draw nourishment from the uterus which is necessary for growth. These structural formations make the egg or rather the zygote seem literally clinging to the uterus. This is indeed a scientific discovery of modern times for the Western World. But without doubt, the Arabs knew it from the Qur’an even before the scientific discovery by the Western counterparts.

13. Have the Qur’an been recorded in Media before ? Yes it was. For example, the Citizen, a Canadian Newspaper dated 22 November 1984, under the heading “ Ancient Holy Book 1300 years ahead of its time.” It also appeared in Times of India, New Delhi, dated 10 December 1984 under the caption “ Koran scores over modern sciences.” The Quran is indeed the word of God The New Paper

14. Is Qur’an a Science Book ? NO, the Qur’an is not a book of Science, but rather a book of Signs. In fact, it has over 6000 signs (verses) out of which 1000 of these deal with scientific knowledge. I am not using Science to prove something correct, you need a yardstick or knowledge that is absolute, something ultimate……….. The End !!
