As defined by the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region and the Tourism Development Strategy of the Republic of Serbia, the Republic of Serbia is fully focused on evaluating tourist destinations on the Danube, the Sava and the Tisa rivers; In order to enlarge the scope of tourism offer, a network of passenger terminals open to international traffic has been determined. Along with Belgrade and Novi Sad this network of passenger terminals also includes: The Danube River : Apatin, Backa Palanka, Sremski Karlovci, Smederevo (at the current 'Old Port' site), Kostolac, Veliko Gradiste, Golubac, Lepenski Vir, Kladovo and Negotin; The Sava River : Sremska Mitrovica and Sabac The Tisa River : Kaniza, Senta, Becej and Titel. All major cruises on the Danube call and stay in Belgrade. For this reason, the analysis of the scope and the flow rate of organized international tours through the passenger port in Belgrade can be considered relevant for the Middle and Lower Danube. Port Governance Agency Investment oportunities – International passenger teminal Zemun The project of International passenger terminal in Zemun was initiated 03.03.2014. year by the City of Zemun, applying for the approval to build a passenger terminal at the location on the right bank of the river Danube in the stretch rkm 1173 + 50 to rkm 1173 +250 Regulation on determination of the port area of the International passenger harbor at municipality of Zemun, the City of Belgrade (The Official Gazette of RS, No. 119/14)
