Feedback from HKETs As a facilitator, I learnt to pay attention to the ways I delivered the messages in terms of wording, information and attitude. I could share new concepts and teaching ideas with the others more effectively. I gained valuable first hand experience in collaborating with teachers in other school context. I’ve learnt how to avoid bias and handle problems more empathetically.
7
Feedback from HKETs To work out an effective collaboration plan, I have learnt to take the school context into consideration such as the student standard, the teaching styles of the Mainland teachers and we tried to review the plan from time to time. I was more aware of the normal school practice and tried not to disrupt its routine.

Feedback from HKETs This programme has provided me with time and space to reflect on my own teaching practices. I got time to think about whether my teaching methods have met the needs of my students.
18
Feedback from HKETs Now I know how to analyse my teaching from a broader perspective e.g. the types of assignment set, assessment criteria and teaching methodology. I got the chance to observe the lessons of both HK and Mainland teachers and I got a lot of insights to improve my teaching.
19
Feedback from HKETs As an exchange teacher, I have to remind myself to better equip myself for the exchange activities. This rewarding project is just like a mini-training programme which has enabled me to refresh myself and acquire new knowledge.
20
Feedback from HKETs I got a great chance and time to think about what to do and how to do things more effectively when collaborating with Mainland teachers. I could also think about what I could do next when I return to my school in Hong Kong.

(4) Enhancement of professional development 18 June 2012 Dear Ivy, So nice to hear from you! Thank you for your invitation to the sharing session in Hong Kong, but I'm afraid I can't come because the final exam is coming. All the resources that you have left for our school, including the photos, have been sorted or made into DVDs, and every English teacher can borrow them from the reference room. They have been a valuable treasure for our English panel. It's so wonderful to work with you and Christine. Thank you for your hard work, kindness and generosity. It's such good news that I still have the chances to contact you in the future. Sure I will email you if I am doing something interesting or meeting problems in the project of reading and writing stories. ----- Anne
