Beaches The beaches of Honduras are among the most beautiful in the world and are the biggest tourist attraction. They offer pristine waters that are perfect for fishing, surfing, scuba diving, or just lounging around. Any day at the beach in Honduras is a beautiful one! Jungle Honduras offers the most extensive and contiguous rainforest in all of Central America. It is home to many indigenous people and offers rare riches to those who will simply take the time and explore. A typical jungle expedition through Honduras lasts about 2 and a half weeks and goes through Guatemala, Honduras, and then Costa Rica. Here you can enjoy tons of scenic views and hikes, take a dip in one of the many jungle swimming holes, and see many of the unique animals that can the Honduran jungle their home. -A typical tour like this costs anywhere from $700-$800. Mountains Honduras’ mountainous region accounts for 80 percent of the country’s terrain, making it the dominant topographical feature. Because of this fact, most of Honduras’ population lives within these mountains. While Honduras does have gorgeous beaches and amazing jungles, if you want to truly connect with the people of this unique country, you are going to have to do some difficult hiking and trekking…but it’s worth it!!!

Mountains cont. In western Honduras, the mountains blend in with the mountain ranges of Guatemala. This is where the peaks are the highest In the east, the mountains of Honduras blend with the mountains of Nicaragua. National Parks Honduras is home to tons of biodiversity because most of the country is wilderness. More than 700 species of birds call Honduras their home. Mayan Ruins The Maya-Toltec culture was born in Middle America 3,000 years before the birth of Christ. This was while most of Europe was considered a land of barbarians. Some of the most important information concerning the ancient Mayan civilizations is found in Copan. This is where scientists believe the most artistically and scientifically advanced Mayan group lived. Come visit the Copan Ruins today!

Rivers Honduras has tons of Rivers that serve as transportation, recreation, and fertilization purposes. The most important is the Ulua River. The Ulua River travels 400k straight through Honduras and empties out into the Caribbean. One half of Honduras’ international borders are defined by Rivers such as the Río Goascorán, the Rio Lempa, and the Rio Coco.
