What’s the problem? 4 Some wandered in desert wastelands, finding no way to a city where they could settle. 5 They were hungry and thirsty, and their lives ebbed away. So what did they do? 6 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, What did God do? and he saved them from their distress. How did God do this? 7 He led them by a straight way to a city where they could settle. What next? 8 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men, Why? 9 for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. Foe 2..

What’s the problem? 10 Some sat in darkness and the deepest gloom, prisoners suffering in iron chains, 11 for they had rebelled against the words of God and despised the counsel of the Most High. 12 So he subjected them to bitter labour; they stumbled, and there was no-one to help. So what did they do? 13 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, What did God do? and he saved them from their distress. How did God do this? 14 He brought them out of darkness and the deepest gloom and broke away their chains What next? 15 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men, Why? 16 for he breaks down gates of bronze and cuts through bars of iron Tea lights (depression) - Light of the world Foe 3..

How did God do this? 20 He sent forth his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave What next? 21 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men, Why? 22 Let them sacrifice thank-offerings and tell of his works with songs of joy Foe 4..

What’s the problem? 23 Others went out on the sea in ships; they were merchants on the mighty waters. 24 They saw the works of the LORD, his wonderful deeds in the deep. 25 For he spoke and stirred up a tempest that lifted high the waves. 26 They mounted up to the heavens and went down to the depths; in their peril their courage melted away. 27 They reeled and staggered like drunken men; they were at their wits' end. So what did they do? 28 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, What did God do? and he saved them from their distress. How did God do this? 29 He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. 30 They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven What next? 31 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men, Why? 41 But he lifted the needy out of their affliction and increased their families like flocks. 43 Whoever is wise, let him heed these things and consider the great love of the LORD With Jesus in your boat Foe 5..

John 6 16 When evening came, his disciples went down to the lake, 17 where they got into a boat and set off across the lake for Capernaum. By now it was dark, and Jesus had not yet joined them. 18 A strong wind was blowing and the waters grew rough. 19 When they had rowed three or three and a half miles, they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on the water; and they were terrified. 20 But he said to them, "It is I; don't be afraid." 21 Then they were willing to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the shore where they were heading. Thank God for his written Word to us Foe 5

Job
24
1:1 In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil. 1:2 He had 7 sons and 3 daughters, 1:3 and he owned 7000 sheep, 3000 camels, 500 yoke of oxen and 500 donkeys, and had a large number of servants 1:8 The LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no-one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.“ 1:9 "Does Job fear God for nothing?" Satan replied 1:10 "You have blessed the work of his hands. 1:11 But stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.“ 1:12 The LORD said to Satan, "Very well, then, everything he has is in your hands, but on the man himself do not lay a finger." Then Satan went out from the presence of the LORD
25
[All Job’s livestock and captured and Job’s children and servants were killed] 1:20 At this, Job fell to the ground in worship 1:21 and said: "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I shall depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised." 1:22 In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.
26
2:3 Then the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? He still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason." 2:4 "Skin for skin!" Satan replied. "A man will give all he has for his own life. 2:5 But stretch out your hand and strike his flesh and bones, and he will surely curse you to your face.“ 2:6 The LORD said to Satan, "Very well, then, he is in your hands; but you must spare his life.“ 2:7 So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. 2:9 His wife said to him, "Are you still holding on to your integrity? Curse God and die!“ 2:10 He replied, "You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?" In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.
27
3:1 After this, Job opened his mouth and cursed the day of his birth. 3:11 "Why did I not perish at birth, and die as I came from the womb? 3:26 I have no peace, no quietness; I have no rest, but only turmoil." 4:1 Then Eliphaz the Temanite replied: 4:7 Consider now: Who, being innocent, has ever perished? 4:8 As I have observed, those who plough evil 4:9 are destroyed; 5:7 Man is born to trouble as surely as sparks fly upward. 5:8 But if it were I, I would appeal to God; I would lay my cause before him. 5:15 He saves the needy from the clutches of the powerful, 5:16 So the poor have hope 5:17 Blessed is the man whom God corrects, 5:18 For he injures, but his hands also heal. 5:27 So hear it and apply it to yourself."
28
6:1 Then Job replied: 6:2 "If only my anguish could be weighed and all my misery be placed on the scales! 6:8 Oh, that I might have my request, 6:9 that God would be willing to crush me. 7:20 If I have sinned, what have I done to you, O watcher of men? Why have you made me your target? 7:21 Why do you not pardon my offences and forgive my sins? " 8:1 Then Bildad the Shuhite replied: 8:3 “Does God pervert justice? 8:5 But if you will look to God, 8:6 even now he will restore you to your rightful place. 8:20 Surely God does not reject a blameless man or strengthen the hands of evildoers.”
29
9:1 Then Job replied: 9:2 “Indeed, I know that this is true. But how can a mortal be righteous before God? 9:3 Though one wished to dispute with him, he could not answer him one time out of a thousand. 9:4 His wisdom is profound, his power is vast. Who has resisted him and come out unscathed? 9:5 He moves mountains without their knowing it and overturns them in his anger. 9:8 He alone stretches out the heavens and treads on the waves of the sea. 9:10 He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted. 9:11 When he passes me, I cannot see him; when he goes by, I cannot perceive him.
30
19:25 I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth. 19:26 And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; 19:27 I myself will see him with my own eyes– I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me! 38:1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the storm. He said: 38:2 "Who is this that darkens my counsel with words without knowledge? 38:3 Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me. 38:4 "Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me, if you understand. 38:12 "Have you ever given orders to the morning, or shown the dawn its place,
31
42:1 Then Job replied to the LORD: 42:2 "I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted. 42:3 Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know. 42:5 My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you. 42:6 Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes." 42:7 After the LORD had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, "I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has. 42:8 My servant Job will pray for you, and I will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly. " 42T he LORD accepted Job's prayer. 42:10 After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD made him prosperous again and gave him twice as much as he had before.
