5 © 2005 SHRM SHRM Weekly Online Survey: September 13, 2005 Other Accepting donations from patrons for Red Cross, donating product for Red Cross fundraiser Adopting a school After ascertaining we had no affected employees, we are helping affected customers and resellers by donating equipment Arranging employee meetings in our hardest hit areas to find out what our employee's needs are and offering assistance. Sent and paid for EAP counselor to attend Held a Jeans Day to raise money for the Red Cross. Blood drive Company has Disaster Relief Assistance Program in place, providing up to $5000 per family in grants plus 30 days temp housing. Our employees are very actively involved with their churches in relief efforts. A local church that many of our employees attend sent 5 semi-trailer loads of new consumable items. Others cleaned a closed nursing home to offer shelter for evacuees. Participating in job fair for refugees in our state. They have joined with the cancer and diabetes society to give one million dollars for hurricane relief so I feel we are also indirectly contributing with our donations. We had an employee donate a vehicle. We have no employees in affected areas, raised mileage reimbursement Working with community to support a displaced family Working with displaced students to allow them to take classes at our institution that will be transferable to universities in the affected areas.
