Napoleon's army weakened from attacking Russia He created a new army afterwards, but it was untrained. European forces destroyed his new army at the German city of Leipzig. In April 1814, the armies of Austria, Russia, and Prussia reached France’s capitol, where Napoleon surrendered because his generals didn’t want to keep on fighting.

June 15, 1815- Napoleon attacked the British in Waterloo, Belgium. Prussian forces arrived later on. Reasons for defeat: - Napoleon's army was outnumbered - European allies quickly prepared and were well trained - Napoleon's men were worn out
