Godly Character Alters… MY FINANCIAL PERSPECTIVE 1
8
1 Timothy 6:9-10 9] People who want to get rich… fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. 10] For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
9
Proverbs 8:10 10] Choose My instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold.
10
Luke 12:16-21 16] And He told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man produced a good crop. 17] He thought to himself: “What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.” 18] Then he said: “This is what I will do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grains and my goods.
11
Luke 12:16-21 19] And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of goods laid up for many years.Take life easy; eat, drink, and be merry.” 20] But God said to him, “You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?” 21] This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God.

I OWE…I OWE…SO OFF TO WORK I GO! Bumper Sticker?
14
Genesis 2:15 15] The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden… to work it and take care of it.
15
1 Timothy 5:8 8] If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediately family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
16
2 Thessalonians 3:6-10 6] In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers, to keep away from every brother who is idle and does not live according to the teaching you received from us. 7] …We were not idle when we were with you, 8] nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you.
17
2 Thessalonians 3:6-10 9] We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to make ourselves a model for you to follow. 10] For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “If a man will not work, he shall not eat.”
18
Ephesians 4:28 28] He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need.
19
1 Timothy 6:17-18 17] Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. 18] Command them… to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.
20
1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 11] Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, 12] so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.
21
Godly Character Alters… MY FINANCIAL PLANNING 3
22
Proverbs 22:7 7] The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.
24
Luke 14:28-30 28] Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Will he not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it? 29] For if he lays the foundation and is not able to finish it, every one who sees it will ridicule him, 30] saying, “This fellow began to build and was not able to finish.”
25
Godly Character Affects… MY FINANCIAL PROMISES 4
26
Romans 13:7 7] Give everyone what you owe him: if you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

Danger Signs Too many credit cards. Spending with the expectation your income “may” increase in the future. Impulse buying on credit. Using one credit card to pay off another.

Danger Signs Too many credit cards. Spending with the expectation your income “may” increase in the future. Impulse buying on credit. Using one credit card to pay off another. Fail to keep accurate records of credit purchases and then feel shock when the bill arrives. Pay only the minimum amount of your monthly bill.

33
Malachi 3:8-11 10] Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house. “TEST ME IN THIS,” says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.
34
Malachi 3:8-11 11] I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit,” says the Lord Almighty.
35
2 Corinthians 8:20-21 20] We want to avoid any criticism of the way we administer this liberal gift. 21] For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of men.
