23 SCENARIO 1 Two friends at a bar (one a Caucasian man, the other an Asian man) see two pretty women across from them (one Caucasian, the other an Asian). The Caucasian man is not shy to admit he has “yellow fever” and wants to approach the Asian woman. The Asian man also likes the look of the Asian woman and wants to approach her as well. The two men are in competition with each other. www.jaqsESLlessons.com

24 SCENARIO 2 A Caucasian man has met an Asian woman that he likes and wants to date her. His last girlfriend was also an Asian, but this is a coincidence – he does not have “yellow fever”. However, the Caucasian man’s friends do not believe him and tease him about it. The Caucasian man becomes defensive. www.jaqsESLlessons.com

25 SCENARIO 3 An Asian woman decides to go to a speed-dating venue. She really hates men with “yellow fever” and is not afraid to show it. She is approached by a man with “yellow fever” at the venue who will not leave her alone. The woman becomes angry and tells the man what she thinks of men with “yellow fever”. www.jaqsESLlessons.com

26 SCENARIO 4 Three Asian women are first year students at a university. They have noticed that one of their Caucasian male lecturers frequently invades their personal space, touches them with too much familiarity and tries to invite them out for coffee often. They have noticed that this lecturer does not behave in the same way towards the Caucasian female students. The three women feel uncomfortable and want the lecturer’s behaviour to stop. The women discuss amongst themselves about their lecturer’s behaviour and try to come up with possible solutions. www.jaqsESLlessons.com
