1 Isaiah: Big Picture God always challenges arrogance, it will never find peace. But He restores the humble

2 Isaiah chapter 9 The humbled tribes will be lifted up (v1-5). Out of Galilee will come the child (v2-6). This child will reign by God’s power (v6-7). Ephraim’s pride is still a problem (v8-12). Even after God punishes the leaders they still won’t listen (v13-17). God’s anger will continue until it has accomplished what He set out to (v18-21).

3 Isaiah 9:6-7 All the arrogance in the world is punished. God has a plan to raise up the humble. All the government rests on Him. The zeal of God will accomplish it.
