1 Isaiah: Big Picture How did we get on last week? Is this a useful programme? What are our aims for reading Isaiah?

2 Isaiah: Big Picture God created man perfect Man sinned and corrupted everything Jesus redeems the world God will one day begin again Prophecies have different meanings in different contexts. The image of God applies to everything.

3 Isaiah chapter 2 In the last days there will be peace and God will reign (v2-5). The people had abandoned God and God had abandoned the people (v6-9). In the mighty presence of God everything will be humbled (v10-21). So what is man all about? (v22).

4 Isaiah 2:19 God is absolutely outstanding. It is not enough to be good. God’s favourite people are humble. (Numbers 12v3) God will shake the earth. So stop thinking about men (v22).

Are you abandoned, hiding in caves or humbled? _________________________________________________________ Do people have too much of a priority in your life?
