[20] I also wanted to know about the ten horns on its head and about the other horn that came up, before which three of them fell--the horn that looked more imposing than the others and that had eyes and a mouth that spoke boastfully. [21] As I watched, this horn was waging war against the saints and defeating them,

How Does He Do It? Rev. 13:16-18 He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, [17] so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. [18] This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666.

Late Dating of Daniel “The Neoplatonic philosopher Porphyry back in the third century A.D. devoted a considerable portion of his polemic Against the Christians to a rationalist explanation of the Book of Daniel. He reasoned that the detailed and accurate predictions in the book point to its having been forged by some unknown author who lived in the days of the Maccabean patriots. Porphyry argued that ‘he who wrote the book under the name of Daniel lied for the sake of reviving their hope’.“ “Modern Rationalism and the Book of Daniel” Gleason L. Archer, Jr. Bibliotheca Sacra —V136 #542—Apr 79—129

Belshazzar vs. Nabonidus “Clear cuneiform evidence now demonstrates why the Book of Daniel names Belshazzar, rather than his father, Nabonidus, as king of Babylon. Nabonidus…became alienated from the people of Babylon. He took the unprecedented step of moving to the Arabian city of Tema, leaving ‘kingship’ in the hands of his son.” “Archaeological Backgrounds of the Exilic and Postexilic Era, Part I: The Archaeological Background of Daniel” Edwin M. Yamauchi, Bibliotheca Sacra, Jun-Mar 1980, p.545 [Edwin M. Yamauchi, Professor and Director of Graduate Studies, History Department, Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.]

Daniel 7:4 "The first was like a lion and had the wings of an eagle. I kept looking until its wings were plucked, and it was lifted up from the ground and made to stand on two feet like a man; a human mind also was given to it.” "The first was like a lion and had the wings of an eagle. I kept looking until its wings were plucked, and it was lifted up from the ground and made to stand on two feet like a man; a human mind also was given to it.”

Daniel 8:5-8 As I was thinking about this, suddenly a goat with a prominent horn between his eyes came from the west, crossing the whole earth without touching the ground…The goat became very great, but at the height of his power his large horn was broken off, and in its place four prominent horns grew up toward the four winds of heaven.
31
Daniel 8:21-22 The shaggy goat is the king of Greece, and the large horn between his eyes is the first king. [22] The four horns that replaced the one that was broken off represent four kingdoms that will emerge from his nation but will not have the same power.
