I also believe that society benefits from the use of firearms in the hands of responsible citizens and trying to keep firearms from responsible citizens does more harm than good. And yet other states with less gun laws like Virginia has one of the lowest murder rates in the country. And Norway who has the highest rate of gun ownership in Western Europe, possesses the lowest murder rate. Restricting firearms has helped make England more crime-ridden than the U.S. In the four years of banning from 1997 to 2001, the rate of violent crime doubled in England. Your chances of being targeted in London are now six times greater than in New York. England's rates of assault, robbery, and burglary are far higher than America's.

So its clear that if guns were to be banned the only protection we have left is the cops which means that the criminal will have a little more time to finish the crime before the cops get there.
