2 Torah – A choice to make Deuteronomy 28:13-14 (NIV) 13 The L ORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the L ORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. 14 Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them. Israel had a choice to make - to obey God or not to obey God. 1.Do you choose to pay attention to God’s commands? Yes or No 2.Do you choose to carefully follow them? 6 Haftarah - Choices Isaiah 61:1-3 (NIV) The Spirit of the Sovereign L ORD is on me, because the L ORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, 2 to proclaim the year of the L ORD ’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, 3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the L ORD for the display of His splendor. Isaiah 61:10-11 (NIV) 10 I delight greatly in the L ORD ; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. 11 For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign L ORD will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations. 7 Yahweh’s Choice Isaiah 62:6-9 (NIV) 6 I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the L ORD, give yourselves no rest, 7 and give Him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth. 8 The L ORD has sworn by His right hand and by his mighty arm: “Never again will I give your grain as food for your enemies, and never again will foreigners drink the new wine for which you have toiled; 9 but those who harvest it will eat it and praise the L ORD, and those who gather the grapes will drink it in the courts of my sanctuary.” 7 Draw a Picture

8 Brit Chadashah Acts 16:25-29 25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. 27 The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. 28 But Paul shouted, “Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!” 29 The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. 30 He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 1.Even though Paul and Silas had been beaten and were in a bad situation they chose to what? _______________________________________________________________________ 2.As a result the jailer became a believer. 10 10 Sing to the King Who is coming to reign Glory to Yeshua, the Lamb that was slain Life and salvation His empire shall bring And joy to the nations when Yeshua is King Come, let us sing a song A song declaring that we belong to Yeshua He is all we need Lift up a heart of praise Sing now with voices raised to Yeshua Sing to the King For His returning we watch and we pray We will be ready the dawn of that day We'll join in singing with all the redeemed 'Cause Satan is vanquished and my Yeshua is King PRAY for the salvation of Israel and their neighbors
