Epidauria became the original travel destination for medical tourism.Asklepios History

Spa townsSpa towns and sanitariums may be considered an early form of medical tourism. In eighteenth century England, for example, patients visited spas because they were places with supposedly health-giving mineral waters, treating diseases from gout to liver disorders and bronchitis.sanitariumsspasmineral watersgoutliverbronchitis

Accreditation International healthcare accreditation is the process of certifying a level of quality for healthcare providers and programs across multiple countries.

Accreditation……. Accreditation is a process of both internal and external evaluation used by healthcare organizations to accurately assess their level of performance in relation to established standards. It is very important to remember that medical standards vary around the world, and the practice of international accreditation is fairly new.

Accreditation……. Accreditation is considered a standard through which a healthcare facility or service is shown to offer quality and healthcare that meet minimum standards and guidelines offered by various domestic and international quality boards..

Accreditation……. For example, individuals want, and deserve, quality in healthcare, whether for dental, cosmetic, bariatric or other treatments and surgical procedures. Anyone entering a healthcare facility deserves to know that staff is trained, facilities are clean and that procedures follow standards that reduce chances of error, infection or negligence..

Accreditaion International healthcare accreditation organizationsInternational healthcare accreditation organizations certify a wide range of healthcare programs such as: hospitals, primary care centers, medical transport, and ambulatory care services.

Accreditation organiztions To look for the providers’ international accreditation should be an important factor in the patient’s decision making. However, there is currently not one single international accreditation scheme that is seen as an overall world-wide-relevant scheme. There is also currently no single organization responsible for accrediting the providers and ensuring that their operating standards are wholly safe and ethical. However, with this in mind, there are several organizations that perform international accreditation with valuable appraisal and information:

International healthcare accreditation Organizations Joint Commission International (JCI) is based in the US Australian Council for Healthcare Standards International (ACHSI) is based in Australia The QHA Trent is based in the UK HealthCare Tourism International (HCT) is based in the US Accreditation Canada is based in Canada The United Kingdom Accreditation Forum is based in the U.K. Temos is based in Germany

ISO has its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland and is a non- governmental organization that sets international industrial and commercial standards. However, ISO is not considered to be an international healthcare accreditation scheme.

Accreditaion The oldest international accrediting body is Accreditation Canada, formerly known as the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation, which accredited the Bermuda Hospital Board as soon as 1968. Since then, it has accredited hospitals and health service organizations in ten other countries

OIC health & medical Accreditation OIC Health and Medical Accreditation Organization should take the duty to Design an standard module for Accreditation for member Countries and other non member countries. This organization should be multi national From OIC Member countries.

OIC health & medical Accreditation Each OIC member should establish a National Accreditation Organization (NAO) at their own countries. NAO will be the primary accreditation Organization in each country.

OIC health & medical Accreditation When a hospital has been surveyed and accredited by the National Accreditation Organization, then they can apply for OIC Accreditation and the Team of OIC accreditation should go To that country and check by themselves and Issue Accreditation certificate.
